Armour

Gabe: Now for the second part of your morning routine, putting on armor. Let's start with the most important part, the helmet. The knight's helmet is split into 9 different parts, the crest, the bowl, the plume holder, the neck guard, the visor, ocularium, ventail, chin guard and various supports.

Now to move on to the legs, the legs had 5 parts to them first the chausses these were similar to chainmail pants so they would cover the legs or go knee high. Next, the greaves, these are plates to cover the lower legs from the back, front and they cover the knees. The next part is the sabaton these are simple all they do is cover the foot. In addition to the greaves there are also cuisse, these airplanes that cover the thighs.

Now for the arms. The arms have 4 parts to them starting with the spaulder, the spaulder is the defense for the upper arm and shoulders. Then comes the pauldron, the pauldron is a guard for the shoulder area and sometimes the armpit, personally I use them without armpit guards (gotta air em' out somehow, right?).
Gabe: now for the important part of the arms, the vambrace. The vambrace guards the forearm, and can be metal or studded leather, mine are solid metal.

Gabe: Now I will show you the center of the armor and probably the second most important part. There are different types of torso armor, one is the brigandine. The brigandine is a kind of cloth garment, usually canvas or leather with small plates of steel put into the fabric, it has larger L shaped plates over the lungs. And now for the cuirass, the cuirass is a single or multiple pieces of metal which covers the front of your torso this piece is connected to the back piece and I used to protect your insides.

You: Lord Newell?

Gabe: Yes my squire?
You: I'm wondering how I will protect myself..

Gabe: That's my job, but as an added caution you'll be going with simple chain mail armor. But with such a fine knight as I you shall be protected by the power of our glorious lord.

Your day continues as normal with more training, many days such as this pass and here is your next event.
